Dilution-Based Ultra-Low Emissions CEMS

Thermo Fisher Scientific pioneered ultraviolet fluorescence SO2 analyzers and chemiluminescence NOx analyzers. Its ambient-grade gas analyzers provide ppb-level measurement precision. External probe dilution eliminates the effects of condensate without heated sample lines and prevents blockages caused by high dust concentrations.

MIR9000 Infrared Gas Filter Correlation CEMS

Gas filter correlation uses infrared absorption to measure selected flue-gas components. Available configurations address gases including SO₂, NO, NO₂, CO, CO₂, HCl, HF, NH₃, CH₄ and water vapour, with complementary measurements where required. The system also uses a platinum-resistance temperature sensor, a pressure sensor and an S-type Pitot tube for flue-gas velocity.

Particulate CEMS for Dry Flue Gas

PM-2620 uses laser backscatter to monitor particulate matter in medium and large ducts. A site-specific calibration relates the optical signal to particulate mass concentration. Review the mounting position, gas conditions and maintenance requirements for the application.

Wet Extractive Particulate CEMS

PM-1820WS uses an extractive sampling probe, heated line, evaporation chamber, measurement unit and controller. For wet flue gas at or below the dew point, representative isokinetic sampling and heating evaporate water droplets before forward-scattering measurement under dry conditions.

Total Reduced Sulfur (TRS) Monitoring

Continuous total reduced sulphur monitoring provides information on sulphurous odours and can complement broader odour monitoring. Measurement scope and site requirements determine the appropriate system.

Marine Continuous Emissions Monitoring

The UW-50 uses UV differential optical absorption spectroscopy (UV-DOAS) and tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) to measure SO2, NO, CO2 and other gases simultaneously and calculate the sulfur-to-carbon ratio. It accurately measures a vessel's exhaust emissions in real time, providing detailed feedback on engine desulfurization and denitrification systems.
